Do I have to share every detail of my story? How vulnerable do I need to be?
You own your story completely. Jennifer works with you during the story intake process to identify the arc that feels true, powerful, and right for you without requiring you to share anything you're not ready to share. Vulnerability doesn't mean oversharing. It means being honest about what the journey actually felt like. We'll find that line together.
What kind of story qualifies? What does "major life obstacle" mean?
There's no checklist. What matters is that you experienced something that genuinely threatened to stop you... and you kept going anyway. That could be the death of a loved one, a health crisis, financial devastation, leaving an abusive relationship, battling self-doubt so profound it almost cost you everything, or any number of other deeply human experiences. If you're wondering whether your story is "big enough," that thought alone tells us it probably is.
Do I need to be a published author or have video experience?
Not at all. We provide editorial guidance for your chapter and professional production support for your filmed segment. You bring the story. We handle the craft. Jennifer conducts every story intake interview personally so you feel supported through the entire process.
What is the timeline? How much of my time does this require?
The full production window is 9 months from kickoff to launch (April 2026 - January 2027). Your active involvement includes: a story intake interview with Jennifer (60–90 minutes), writing your chapter (with editorial support and a clear deadline), one filmed interview session (video call or in-person in Austin), a review round for your episode cut and book proof, and participating in the coordinated launch. Outside of those touchpoints, we handle the rest.
What do I actually own when this is done?
You retain full ownership of your personal story. Sweet to the Soul Publishing & Production Co. holds the rights to the anthology and docuseries as produced works. You receive a permanent license to use your chapter and episode segment in your own marketing - on your website, in your speaker bio, in your press kit - for the lifetime of your career. The full details are outlined in your contributor agreement.
How does the payment work?
Your total investment is $3,297. A 50% deposit ($1,648.50) is collected upon signing your contributor agreement and holds your spot. The remaining balance is due at the production midpoint - approximately Month 4 of the 9-month production window.

Applications are reviewed for story fit, audience alignment, and readiness, not notoriety or follower count. The 20 spots will be curated for story diversity, ensuring the anthology and docuseries represent a wide range of experiences, industries, and backgrounds.
